Just got an invite to stop in at Mission, BC on my way back to Toronto October 7 when I do my 2nd VIA Rail Artists on Board singing gig. No-can-do unfortunately as I am booked to sing 3 times a day for 3 days all the way back to Ontario and won’t be able to explore that part of BC….this time!
So a HUGE thank you to BPW B.C. (Business & Professional Women) for your lovely invitation to visit and your very kind words in your email to me:
“The connection between you and all Business and Professional Women’s clubs is a natural. The 2012 National Conference and AGM made me an even more inspired BPW member and an instant fan of your music! “This is my Canada” and “Women of the World” say it all. I am listening to “Women of the World” as I write. A belated “Welcome” to BC!” (Heather M. Stewart, President BPW BC & Yukon)
I have been honoured to have been associated with BPW these past 8 years – a lot of exciting things have happened over the years including receiving an Honorary BPW Canada membership; opening the BPW World Congress in Helsinki, Finland; being invited to sing at several BPW meetings & conventions across Canada; twice being chosen as International Woman of the Week and being informed that someone from Germany created a dance to “Women of the World” which is being performed around the world by various clubs including Africa, Taiwan, Australia, USA, UK, Egypt and Belgium to name a few as well as various places across Canada. Love it! And proud to say that Woman of the World is available on iTunes in their four official languages: English, French, Italian & Spanish.
So today, I salute you wonderful BPW Women of the World – Femmes de la terre – Mujeres del mundo – Donne del mondo – who are committed to networking among and empowering women worldwide (BPW currently has clubs in 100 countries). www.bpwcanada.com & www.bpw-international.org.
