BRIEF BIO – This Is My Canada
I write songs about Canada including “This Is My Canada” which I sang for our Olympic teams in Salt Lake City (2002) & Athens Greece (2004), for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Torch Relay & for the 2015 PAN AM Games Torch Relay.
Other songs include “I’m A Canadian, Eh”, “Canada’s Really, Really BIG”, “I Love Canada (it’s winter that I hate) and not released yet children’s song “My Aunt Went Across Canada” that name things from A-Z you can find in Canada.
Am premiering my new concert series “This Is My Canada Presents” January 27, 2016 in Belleville ON with Marie-Lynn Hammond (Stringband) as my first guest. April 27 – Andy Forgie; June 22 – The Starpainters; September 28 – Tom Leighton – Eastminster United Church, Belleville, ON.
I was the VIA Rail Artist on Board last fall from Toronto to Vancouver & all the way back – 3 shows/day for 3.5 days in both directions on a moving train. I have photos & blogs & new songs as a result.
In 2013, I toured throughout the Maritimes with my musical theatre show “I’m An Acadian-Canadian, eh!” and in 2015 premiered my new musical theatre show “Out of Acadia – The Story of Josephine”. April 12, 2016 I will be premiering my newest Acadian show yet to be named.
Also went on a photographic adventure in Newfoundland which resulted in a new song, “You’re Gonna Love Newfounland from shore to shore”.
