WHAT A NIGHT!  The Launch of Kait’s Comfort Kits on September 24th at the Waring House in Picton (ON) was even more magical than anything I could have imagined.  

Thank YOU to all who donated funds as well as donated/contributed items, time, talent and/or expertise in so many wonderful ways for your generosity and tremendous support – plus your great patience in waiting for all of this to finally come together. 

This is the large poster that was and will be on display from now on for every event:

2400 items were collected, sorted & assembled to fill 200 Kit bags in less than 2 hours by some wonderful volunteers including:  Michelle Fraser-Found, Monika Fida + Patty + Chris, Suzanne Pasternak, Rick Zimmerman, Carol-Anne Gray, Tammy Love, Judy McKnight

With over 120 people who attended the Launch, we raised ……drum roll please …….. 

$6,000!

Astonishing!  THANK YOU ALL for your BIG kind generous hearts!

We can now fill 300 more Kits for a total of 500 Kits which is the first main goal we set out to do.  At this rate, this is only the beginning of many more Kits to come.

It truly was a tremendous success and it couldn’t have been possible without the contribution, donation and assistance from you and so many.

THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my grateful heart and on behalf of my family for helping to make Kait’s dream come true and to create a legacy in her name.  But more importantly, I know she would be so grateful that these Kits will bring comfort to others who are in the hospital for long stays.

We also launched a CD of Kait’s music (a mix of her instrumental compositions as well as her singing on some of my children’s songs and we sold over 70 CDs which also helped raise funds.  You can order a CD ($20 – all proceeds go to Kait’s Comfort Kits) by emailing me at kaitscomfortkits@gmail.com)
