Welcome to Episode 11 in my 2024 Monday Music Matters “Song-A-Week” series of stories in memory and in honour of my daughter, Kait
Kait wrote this song, Supernova, because of her fascination and interest in all things outer space. She would show me images of supernovas, nebulae, black holes and they intrigued us both. Kait even painted her image of a black hole which she gave to me as my Christmas gift in 2017!

Song Link: Supernova
According to Space Place, NASA, a supernova is “the biggest explosion that humans have ever seen. Each blast is the extremely bright, super-powerful explosion of a star.” You can read more about them – and view images, on their website: (https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/supernova/en/)
Special thanks to DJ Lckdwn for adding his beats to her song which launched it to a whole other orbit!
Kait and I often spoke about the universe, (she believed in multiverses), outer space, astrophysics so I have a special place in my heart for this song. I am totally fascinated by it all and often wonder what’s out there, beyond our vision, beyond our imagination, beyond the known frontier.
